Hi, I'm Sophie!

My name is Sophie Humphries and I am the founder and lead therapist of Liverpool Speech Therapy. I have a career spanning 10 years having worked across many settings. I have held positions in various NHS Trusts which involved working within mainstream schools, special schools, clinics, client's homes, pupil referral units and children's centres. I was also employed as the Lead Therapist for a number of years within a special school for pupils with diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder and learning difficulties after which I moved on to a management position in a private organisation.

I started Liverpool Speech Therapy in 2017 with a drive to provide effective, dynamic and creative therapy, delivering therapy to children when they need it, where they need it and for how long they need it.

"I am passionate about changing children's lives and helping them to build communication skills to last a lifetime".

Jill Primrose

Speech and Language Therapist

My name is Jill Primrose and I am a Speech and Language Therapist at Liverpool Speech Therapy. With a background in English Language and Literature, and 10 years experience running charities, I was drawn to Speech and Language Therapy as a career, having always loved work which meant I could interact and work with a wide variety of people.

I have lots of experience of working with children and my areas of interest include Autism. ADHD and Down Syndrome. I have post grad training in 'Attention Autism' and enjoy delivering fun, messy and engaging therapy through using this approach. I am also trained in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and use this to support children in being able to communicate with others.

I am passionate about helping children to develop their communication skills to their full potential and supporting those closest to them through practical and exciting ways.

When I'm not working, I like to go the beach (especially if it's a bit windy and rainy!) and find new crafts to make.
